PTSD
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is an anxiety disorder that can develop after a person is exposed to one or more traumatic events, such as major stress, sexual assault, warfare, or other threats on a person's life.
Symptoms include disturbing recurring flashbacks, avoidance or numbing of memories of the event, and hyperarousal, continue for more than a month after the occurrence of a traumatic event. Most people who have experienced a traumatizing event will not develop PTSD.
Symptoms including Flashbacks—reliving the trauma over and over, including physical symptoms like a racing heart or sweating, bad dreams, frightening thoughts, re-experiencing symptoms...etc., all these symptoms may cause problems in a person's everyday routine. They can start from the person's own thoughts and feelings. Words, objects, or situations that are reminders of the event can also trigger re-experiencing.
Through hypnotherapy, the client can release the emotions in sub-conscious level and by different kinds of practice and reinforcement in hypnotherapy, the trauamitc symptoms can be reduced.
